Test Drive...#2

For the past couple of weeks we have been discussing me getting a new car. Last week we tested the Ford CMAX. It was very neat, comfortable and fun to drive. Perfect for the whole family. This week's test is the Buick Encore. After seeing one in the neighborhood, we thought it could be a contender. After driving it today, I'm not sure. Feels a little cramped and too businessy. Very nice and professional looking but not that "fun" to drive. Will it be the winner? We will have to wait and see. 

Bad Dog!

So Poptart over past 7 months has been a relativively good dog while we aren't home. She has a penned off area at home that she is allow in. Well the last couple of days when Dana has come home, she has found a way to get out of the pen and get to the rest of the house. Has it been a problem? No. Has she messed up something in the house while out? I don't think so. However it's not safe that she is roaming around. Well today we come home after being out in the morning and she has gotten out & torn up a bag that had repair tools in it. Nails, screws, attachments, etc were all over the floor and the bag was torn up! Did she eat any of them? I have no idea. Have they torn up her stomach lining? I don't know! All I can say is her "freedom" is over. Time to screw the pen to the walls. 

Zoom....Focus....Shoot!

Tonight was my second attendance to the Atlanta Photographers Guild photo shoot. It was very fun!! Tonight's theme was Pink Flamingo Trailer Park style. They set up the pink flamingo set but decided to shoot some country scenes outside first. I had been assigned a model named Mary Strawberry.

She was very energetic and photogenic. I was able to get some really catchy images. There were two other models but one I didn't get the name of. The male model named Hamilton had this Kanye West look to him.

Low battery!

How handicapped or upset do you feel when you have a low battery on your phone?

Is the low battery because you are using it too much to do things like Tweet or watch videos on YouTube?

Do you always remember to bring a charger with you wherever you go?

Do you sometimes feel like your phone is glued to your hand?

Do you use your phone more for text and other things than actually talking on it?

I'm not saying that I'm guilty of those things that I listed above but my phone died today and it was quite annoying.

Aaaargh!! Beware!! There are Zombies out there!

This weekend we decided to take a trip to Senoia, GA to visit the town that was used to film The Walking Dead TV Series. Specifically the town of Woodbury in the Walking Dead series. It was a cute little town. They turned it into a tourist attraction by turning a store into a place to buy Walking Dead merch. The town also was used to shoot other TV Series such as Drop Dead Diva and the movie Meet The Browns.

I bought a neat shirt and took some photos. Poptart seemed to be the talk of the town because everyone thought she was so cute while we walked around. She also embarrassed us by barking frantically at every dog she saw. Sometimes, I swear!

Wanna ride?

I've been told by my wife that it is time for me to get a new car. My car has been with me for 10 years and it's time to move on because I drive further to work. It took me a while to start looking but when I did, I began to really enjoy what I was seeing.

We took a trip to Carmax recently and looked at the FORD C-MAX Hybrid. It was very comfortable. We decided to rent it and drive out of town with it this weekend. It drove like a dream!! Since it is a hybrid most of the time, you are using electric power. When doing so and having it on cruise control, you feel as if the car can drive itself. It was very weird!! But I loved it! The car is roomy and has many features.

Could it be something that I can call mine in the future? We shall see.

What?!?

I think a bird exploded on the grass in my neighborhood. What is this? Where is the rest of the body?

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Vroom Vroom!

It's time for a change. Thinking about getting a new car. We went out to the dealers of all dealers, Carmax. We weren't out there that long but was able to look at a few options. Car buying can be stressful and fun. Better to start early while you still have a decent car running. 

Anyone have any car buying tips?

Catching Up!

Tonight was great! I was able to finally catch up with my BFF that I haven't seen in months. She is someone who I could talk to about anything pretty much! You know you have a good friend when you can just enjoy each other's company talking about whatever like two old hags. No offense to the old hags out there. Thanks for catching me up on all the latest Katie! It was great seeing you! You will always be a great friend!

Peace

Do you know what peace is?

I often find peace when I'm alone with my thoughts. Most of that time is usually when I'm at sea on a cruise. I will stare at the waves from my balcony and just be at peace because I allow all thoughts to go away. Today I thought about peace when I noticed a bonsai tree on this table out in the smoking area. Who left it there? It gave me something to visualize. It was so nice to see and something you don't see everyday. Peace. How or when do you find peace?

GET AWAY FROM ME DUCKS!!

So a funny thing happened to me on the way home today. I decided I wanted to take a couple of photos of this Jesus statue in the cemetery near my house. I drove through the cemetery and found there was a pond in the cemetery on the way to the statue. As I was driving closer to the pond, I noticed some ducks and geese in the pond. What a great photo op! Well as soon as I get out of the car to take the photo, the ducks rush towards me and start squawking!

They are like "give me some food or die!" So I slowly take photos as I walk back to my car. (As you can see below) Now they have surrounded my car and I can't drive forward without killing one of them. Well a little toot of my car horn and backing up and going around them I made it to my destination.

So tonight I decided when I was taking Poptart for a walk that I wanted to take a photo of the moon.

With the sky not completely black i was able to get a shot of the moon with a little tint of blue in it.

Below you will see the first photo as the wide shot and the second is the same photo zoomed in. Kind of neat that you can see craters in the moon.
