I think the Statue of Liberty has gotten loose from NY! Have you seen these people standing out on the corners waving down cars to get them to sign up for Liberty Tax Returns? So funny!

Someone tell this Statue of Liberty to go back to NY and stand still!!

Fried Goodness!!

Don't we all have guilty pleasures?!? Is it eating things that you shouldn't? Is it staying out late before you have to go to work the next day? Is it calling out sick? How about spending too much money?

Well for me it is eating the wrong things and feeling great about it....at least at first! Today's photo is dedicated to my guilty pleasure...fried foods! Who would have ever thought that a pickle fried with some ranch dipping sauce would be good? Mmmmmm! Zaxby's Fried Pickles are salty fried goodness! If you haven't tried them, don't start now! They can be addictive!

Wake Up!

Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Caribou Coffee....whatever your choice, a lot of people need that strong cup of java to get up in the morning. Do people still brew pots of coffee at home before work anymore or is the convenience of drive-thru changed all that? What is your favorite brew? Does is matter if it's strong or mild? Are there a lot of people who drink their coffee just black?

I like my coffee with a lot of sweetener and creamer. Flavored creamers are the best. Today's photo of the day was my first cup of coffee in 3 weeks. I just needed it today.

End of an Era!

So I'm an entertainment junkie!! I love movies and television! I'm a longtime fan of renting movies from Blockbuster Video or Hollywood Video, etc. Due to economic times and technology, those days are long gone! With business closings and bankruptcies, customer service reps and face to face interaction is going to be missed in my life. I returned some movies today probably for the last time to a Blockbuster store that will be closing next week. It was one of the few left standing.

Am I alone in wishing that Blockbusters were still around? Am I the only one who doesn't mind interacting with the customer service reps? I am a leader of the digital age and I love streaming but sometimes I miss the customer service (face to face) approach. So now I move back to NetFlix and wait for movies in the mail.

Do you remember the days before smart phones and IPods? Nowadays, you can be seen without either an IPod Touch or an IPhone. Apps, Apps and more Apps. There is always a new App that someone is trying to push onto someone else. "Have you see the new twitter App?" "What is the name of that movie FX?" "Is it free?"

What would we do without all these Apps? Do you have a favorite App? How many do you have your smart device, either IPod or IPhone or Android for that matter?

I have been feeling so bad the last couple of days and needed a day of rest to get back to health. Today's photo of the day was what helped me get through the day while i was laying in bed.

Is anyone out there as much of a TV junkie as I am? What is your favorite show to watch? Can you watch re-runs from the 70's or 80's? I love TV Land and Nickelodeon for re-runs.

Just like a Pill!

Pop a pill....it'll make everything better. Not all the time! If you have a headache, you can take an aspirin and it'll go away. If you have a tummy ache, you can take an antacid and it'll soothe it. If you have a bad back, I'm not sure what will make the pain go away! My back has been killing me for the past week and I keep taking pills but not much relief happens. Could a chiropractor help? Could physical therapy help? Maybe surgery?

Anyways, do you have a favorite drug for pain? Too much medicine can make you sick. So be careful!

Read any good books lately?

Have you read any good books lately? Reading is so good for the mind. It is a great feeling to get lost in fantasy or to expand your mind on realistic situations. A great friend of mine gave me a book that is supposed to be a good read. I look forward to expanding my mind. What was a good book that you read lately? Is there a book that had a big impact on your life?

PS VITA!!!

OMG!! Today was so awesome! I'll be the first to admit that I'm a little bit of a geek, nerd or dork. I love technology but most of all I love gaming! I've been a video gamer since the age of 10. I love most of all types of games. Action, Sports, Shooting, Fighting, etc. Well I finally got a chance to try out a new gaming device soon to be in the US. The Playstation Vita!! This thing was so cool! It was light weight! It was super bright! The screen was so big for a portable gaming device. 5 inches! The games were very fluid. The interface was so user-friendly! It was just an amazing thing to see and play for a gamer. I can't wait until I can get one! So needless to say, Today's photo is of my first hands-on PS Vita!!

Brush daily...please

Are you ever in a conversation with someone and want to hand them a toothbrush? Are you the type of person to give someone a piece of gum to help them out? Do you ever wonder when the last time someone has been to the dentist? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not the most dental hygienic person but i do at least brush once or twice a day and try to chew on gum everyday. A friend of mine uses the word "Hydrate" to inform me that i need some gum. HAHA!! I have no idea where that came from. I hate going to the dentist as much as the next person. I have recently discovered a new dentist named DENTAL TLC, that is very good. All i'm saying is that today's photo is dedicated to the good 'ol toothpaste and toothbrush.

Life is funny. Some lives are very simple and some are very complicated. Some people go through many hard times while others have it easy. Throughout these times we develop many relationships. Some that are very true to our heart. Mine is my wife! She is my best friend. I've known her for 11 years now and we've been married for 6 of those years. On our first year of marriage, I decided that i wanted to make a commitment to my wife that she was true and dear to my heart! Now most people would say that I or anyone for that matter would be crazy to do what i did but I felt the time and need was there. It was something in my soul that I felt needed to be done. I wasn't forced. I wasn't bribed. She didn't even know that I was doing it. I look at it everyday as a constant reminder that I'm in love and will always be loved by my wife.

It's also funny that something I forget that it is even there.

BUGS!!

I'm not a fan of bugs. My wife hates them! But do you ever wonder what all these bugs are on this earth for? Why ladybugs? What do they do? A friend of mine said that she got pooped on by a ladybug. Really? I found this ladybug on the back of one of our couches. I wasn't sure how it got there.

Game Night!

We love hosting parties and game nights. It is a great time to get together with friends and enjoy good food and fun. It's always pressure to make sure that everyone is having a great time. Is there enough food? Are the games you provide fun? Is everyone getting along? Is it too hot or too cold? I think most of our parties go over very well because it is a good sign when the guests don't leave before 3 am. Today's photo is the dessert that was served and was approriately themed. Enjoy!

FAST FOOD!!!

I know it is bad for you but there is nothing like the convenicnce and taste of fast food especially when you are late for work or an appoinment! Today I went to one of my favorites! The soft chicken and buttery biscuit is so good! Do you ever wonder how they get that fast food taste? I have a Top-Secret recipes book that is supposed to replicate the taste of a lot of fast food places but i have yet to get it just right. What is your favorite fast food? If you they decided to get rid of all fast food except one chain, what you want them to keep?

Traffic!!!

This is pretty much everyone's most annoying thing to deal with during the working day.....the commute to and from work. How much time do you have to sit in traffic? Today I thought I would take a photo of the newly installed traffic bumpers (I'll call them) that try to help control the amount of on-coming traffic to the highway.

It's weird because now you've backed up traffic on the on-ramp! Are there things about traffic that get on your nerves? Is it necessary for someone to be right on your bumper if no one is moving? Do people not understand that you should use your blinker? If you see a lane that is ending do you not understand that you need to get over? Are speed limit signs just there for decorations? Where is a cop when you want one? Turn your lights on sometimes! Anyways, what are your traffic whoas. Oh and don't get me started on traffic during the rain!
