Have you read any good books lately? Have you ever really been enjoying a book but it seems to take you forever to finish it because you have so much other stuff to do? I have got to finish reading this book below. I really wanted to finish it before the movie came out but alast i got a late start.

Wash...Scrub...Soak!

Today is the day for cleaning the house. Washing dishes and scrubbing floors. Have you ever seen the garbage disposal burp or make a bubble? If you pour soap down the drain and run hot water down the other side, it will create a bubble on the other side.

Kind of neat.

King of all laptops!!

Apple has brought so much new innovations to the world of technology! Ipods, Ipads, IMacs & Macbook Pros! I love the apple family! This new Macbook Pro is a new addition to my life. It is very slick and fast. I enjoy working on it. Are you a PC or a MAC? Do you feel like you need to get the latest hot new tech gadget because everyone else has one?

Very Sweet!

A friend of mine was very thoughtful today and brought me something sweet! It was some cinnamon roll cake. Very delicious! When was the last time that someone surprised you with something special?

Really??

There was a restaurant that I passed by on my way home today and it had this sign below attached to it. Really? Is that really what the mayor's name is? Does he get to eat here for free because his name has something to do with pigs?

Beware! Drive very slowly in this area because there are reindeer named Rudolph that cross the road. Have you ever seen a sign like this? Did someone play a joke on this sign?

Yellow Tint Everywhere!

Springtime brings along the nasty yellow tint of pollen on everything! The car, the sidewalk, the outdoor furniture, the dust in the air. It is all coming up yellow. I never thought that I would have to follow the yellow brick road in Wizard of Oz but with all the pollen on the roads, it is hard not to think of that.

Yesterday we had an Oscar Party movie marathon and we served our version of Chicken-n-Waffles. Peanut Butter Waffles and Chick-fil A biscuits. MMmmmmmm......

3,2,1...Roll The Movie!

Today was the day we decided to have an Oscar Best Picture movie marathon party! We watched 5 of the 9 Oscar nominees for Best Picture. And what is a movie without munchies. Candy, Popcorn, Soda. The movies were overall ok. Moneyball, Tree of Life, The Descendants, Hugo & Midnight in Paris were on the line-up for the viewing. In my opinion The Descendants is my favorite so far. I can't wait to see the rest of them. I would like to thank everyone for coming and having a great time. Today's photos (yes, I broke my blog rule and I'm using more than one photo today) are dedicated to the movie marathon.

"End of the Road"

Saying goodbye is never easy! Today is a tough day at work because I'm having to say goodbye to some good friends. Every road has a dead-end or a turn that you have to take, whether you like it or not. How do you say goodbye? Do you shed a tear? Do you give a hug? Do you burst out in laughter? Do you wish that person luck? Well, some people celebrate it with cake. A good friend baked a cake to show a good gesture and it looked delicious.

SpringTime!!

I know it isn't official the first day of Spring until March 20th, but today sure did feel like it! Very bright and sunny, warm temps and great breeze! The flowers are blooming and the pollen is flying! I love springtime but the pollen and allergies that come with it are never fun. What do you like most about Spring? What types of things do you long for? Today's photo is dedicated to a long spring season to come....I hope.

Does anyone like clowns? Does anyone like gold? Apparently around the corner from this man below you can see both. I think he was left stranded from the Ringling Brothers Circus and now he is selling gold. Poor clown!

Bad sign!

If you computer looks like this.....(see photo below) then it is time to get a new one! My boss' computer made this screen this morning. I hate it for him because it meant for a short while that he was going to have to succumb to the PC world for a while till his MAC gets repaired. It's never a good sign when you see something like this.

Today I got a chance to see my friend's new baby! She is so cute! Very playful and has the cutest smile. Her name is Mia and belongs to my good friends Pam and Javen. It makes me wonder if I want one someday. Thanks guys for sharing her with us and letting me make her part of my blog.

What is the most amount of emails you have ever had in your work inbox? Thank God Today Is Friday!! I don't know why but I have been collecting a lot of emails in my inbox. Actually in my trash bin. Physical Therapy at home

Today was a physical therapy day for my Sciatica. During today's treatment my doctor told me that there was a home kit that they can prescribe to you. Great! That is just what i need....my own shock treatment!!! It is called an ESTIM machine. It sends electric pulses through electrodes that you stick on your pain areas. It is weird at first when you use it because it sends the jolt straight to your nervous system but after the treatment it's great. Well, I got my machine and it is time for some treatment. They even told me I can use it why I'm driving. I probably won't try that though.

Aaaachooo!!

I love springtime and I can't wait for the warmer temperatures but I hate the allergy season that comes with it. The stuffy nose, watery eyes, itchy throat. It can be a pain in the sinuses. Does anyone else have severe allergy problems? I have a good friend and coworker that is my allergy pal. We always can gauge off of each other to tell if something is crazy in the air. Nightime in the daytime

Have you ever seen the moon during the daytime? I don't think it is called a harvest moon because the moon casts a shadow from the sun that is orange. I'm not sure what you call it when you see the moon during the day. Do you? I know it is neat to see. Maybe it has something to do with the seasons changing & the days getting longer or shorter.

I was having a great time at bowling tonight! Someone created a great playlist on the jukebox and filled it with Michael Jackson. If there is one thing that will get me to dance and sing....it is Michael Jackson hits! The rhythm and beats were stuck in my soul so much that I continued the fun all the way home.

Advertising at it's best

Today in my Entertainment Weekly, we found this ad for Miso liquid gel that you add to water. The ad said to drop into water and watch your whole world change. It was blank before we dropped it into water and then this happened to the paper below. Very cool.

After a wet stormy day, it is always gross to see these all in the driveways and roads. Sorry but this image was on my mind all day so I had to take a photo. Anyone else have issues with earthworms besides me?

Don't forget about black history. For the last day of black history month, I decided to take a photo of a coffee-table book that I got for my parents. It is a great way for people to relive and remember black history.

Sometimes when you stare up at a beautiful sky, it looks like heaven! Such a nice day and the clouds looked so mystical!

Cake anyone??

Would anyone like some cake? If you are looking for some really good cake or pies and want it to be the size of your head, you should head to the Marietta Diner! It is so good and the portion sizes are huge! Word of advise, be prepared to circle the parking lot a few times because it is always busy.

Getting Older!

Happy Birthday to me! I'm very glad that I've been able to make it this age and accomplished so much! So what is in store for the next year of my life? Does anyone else look forward to their birthday like I do? I just like it when people say Happy Birthday to me. It makes me feel liked/loved.

Man vs. Food

I love the show Man vs. Food!! I personally think the host should be dead by now but I really enjoy him visiting strange places so that I have some new places to check out when on vacation. Today I went to a hole in the wall hot dog restaurant in Raleigh, NC. It was a hole in the wall but it was so good!!!! Very cheap food but a recipe that worth more than the price! Too much??

Today I took a trip with my wife, mother and mother-in-law to get some haircare products. OMG!! So much stuff!! Have you ever seen a beauty store that the size of a Walmart?? Too many choices for women to have to go through. It was was like you dropped some kids off at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Thank god after 3 hours they decided to buy something and I helped pick it out.

Do you ever wonder what is inside a woman's purse? Do you ever wonder if the purse is big enough to carry all that stuff they need? Trust me....I didn't open it. I know not to go inside.

Creamy....Dreamy....Filling

When I was a kid, I hated Twinkies!! If you are old enough to remember, they used to be filled with banana cream. I HATE BANANA!! I hate the taste and the smell. But now they are filled with vanilla cream. I haven't had a Twinkie in more than 15 or 20 years but today someone brought a box of them to work.
